The average man is 9 to 14 % larger than the average women, and weighs 20% more on average.

The major active hormone in a man’s body is Testosterone.  It can stimulate muscle growth and also increases the production of red blood cells in a man’s blood. Human males also create additional human growth hormone compared to women.

The results of these hormones make oxygen much more available to a man’s cells than a woman’s. This means that a woman has to work 20% harder at a given exercise, to produce the same results as a man.

Absorbing oxygen is harder for a woman’s cells, due partly to women having a lesser percentage of lean tissue like muscles and a higher level of body fat.  This higher percentage of body fat lets women power their bodies longer from their own energy reserves. This results in superior stamina over the long haul.

When it comes to losing weight, the main difference in women is found in the operation of a woman’s hormones and the creation and purpose of a woman’s fat cells.

A woman’s fat cells are 6 times larger than men’s and they are genetically created to be like this.

  • The difference is cells comes down to enzymes.
  • Fat hoarding enzymes : Lipogenic
  • Fat liberating enzymes: Lipolytic

The average women’s bodies have 2 X the number of lipogenic enzymes, and 1/2 the amount of lipolytic enzymes. The reason for this is to guarantee that a woman carries adequate fat cells to care for their growing children through breast-feed.  A pregnant woman burns at least 400 more calories per day . Breast-feeding can need as much as 400 more calories a day.

Other factors in hard to lose weight.

Chemicals in our food and water supply can imitate estrogenic functions of the body and assist in the making fat harder to burn. These chemicals are called xenoestrogens and should be avoided.
